It would seem that the audacity of some people knows no limits. Why on earth would anyone with a reasonable mind and sense of decency decide to make a public shrine to ‘honour’ someone who had ZERO honour? It just doesn’t make sense!
Burglars are, without a doubt, amongst the lowest of the low when it comes to criminality. And I say that as having been the victim of a burglary whereby I ended up having a ‘bundle’ with someone who broke into my neighbours flat in East London.
And I am not really that interested in hearing all the BS about how burglars ‘have no choice’ or ‘they couldn’t find a job’. Bo__ocks.
Henry Vincent lived in Kent.
A quick search on a Jobs website reveals that, currently, there are 9,636 vacancies in Kent. So lets put this ‘argument’ behind why criminals do what they do to bed once and for all.

YOU have the RIGHT to go to sleep at night, or go to work during the day, without the prospect and fear of vile burglars breaking into your property. If your property has not been burgled, then you will never understand the effect that it can have on you.
And if someone does break into your home and you end up using ‘no more force than was necessary’ in order to defend yourself, then so be it. We have the legal right to defend ourselves against those evil individuals who wish to do us harm.
And if the intruder ends up dying as a result of the injuries which they sustain as you try to protect your family, then so be it.
It seems obvious to me, that the family of the Hither Green burglar knew or were at least potentially aware of his chosen ‘career’ path. They appear not to be shocked by the fact that Henry Vincent and his pal (who is still on the run) broke into a pensioners house.
Instead, they have been filmed at the ‘shrine’ shouting abuse at the local residents. And they have been referring to the REAL victim in all of this, the 78-year who was just at home minding his own business as a ‘scumbag’!? How f__king dare they!
I am not saying that they should be expected to be ‘happy’ about what happened, but what on earth makes them think that they have the ‘right’ to ‘honour’ in public the life of someone who appeared to have ZERO honour? Do it privately, away from the gaze of hardworking and decent people.
How selfish must you be, to think that the decent and hardworking people who live in the street where the burglars struck, want to have a visual reminder of the fact that their friend and neighbour has had THEIR lives ruined – all because a career criminal, who clearly had no regard for others, decided to break into their home, and ended up losing his life as a result of his own actions?

The family and friends of the Hither Green burglar should be subjected to an anti-social behaviour order.
They should not be allowed to goad the hard-working community of Hither Green. Hearing the manner in which the family and friends of Henry Vincent have referred to the residents and the REAL victims in all this, made my blood boil.
Maybe THEY should take some responsibility for the actions of Henry Vincent. If they knew what he was up to, then they should have done more to convince him that breaking into people’s property in order to steal from them, makes you the lowest-of-the-low.
And we say to the residents who keep tearing down the ‘shrine’: good on you!
We salute and applaud you. Don’t give in to the sort of individuals who believe that it’s ‘ok’ to go around helping yourself to whatever you want, regardless of the consequences.

As a society, we MUST take a harder line with criminal behaviour – as well as taking a harder line with the selfish types of individual who seems to think that it’s acceptable to ‘honour’ the life of someone who made a career of ruining other peoples lives.
To the family of Henry Vincent, we say: remember your loved one in private. No-one wants to see you cussing the REAL victims in all of this. Have some self-respect. Perhaps by showing some self-respect & dignity, you might actually bring a bit of decency to the memory of your loved one.
It’s also a shame that some reporters keep hounding the people who keep taking the flowers down.
Just let them do what everyone wants them to do, without asking them stupid questions about “why are you taking down the flowers” in the hope of getting a sensationalist headline to help you shift more copies or sell more pictures…..

I absolutely agree with this article and I applaud the person who wrote it. It’s an absolute insult to an elderly man who was defending himself and his home and it should be seen as provocation and harassment. The local council needs to get this Pond Life into court, and teach them the Law of the land, we have the RIGHT to defend ourselves and our homes. These cretins have no shame.
I hear, but have not had any confirmation, the burglar was ‘stabbed’ with his own screwdriver, did he slip and fall on it? And the accomplice pulled it out of him before trying to get him into his van, which probably finished the job.
The scum that keeps putting up these flowers etc is doing so to threatened the innocent house-holder, such is the “stolen caravan dwelling, mobile thieving b’stard, do-as-they-likey” way.
The ‘press’ need to wind their necks in, supporting these degenerates with the oxygen of publicity isn’t going to help resolve the situation, sadly the real victim will probably never be able to return home, such is the level of threats against him.
The saddest part of this is there lives have been ruined by these men if you can call them men…they and there families have had to move from the home they have always known…my son was burgled years ago…they had to move as my daughter in law never ever felt safe in there own home…very costly for them all because of some low life who thought it was his right to steal what they worked hard for…all tared with the same brush…worse than pond life…I hope this man finds peace soon!
What he done was totally and utterly wrong .but he was someone’s dad .someone’s son .someone’s nephew someone’s son .if your child was doing something totally unforgivable and died would you not morn .still agree that he was wrong and sympathise with the poor couple whose house he burgled .and believe me I would act the same as the dear old pensioner . He to is someones dad ,grandad etc .
But would you want to lay flowers if your son .end of the day the daughters and his mother wasn’t to blame for his very wrong actions .maybe lay tribute closer to home and agree alot of this could be attention seeking . So I can see from both sides .
The reason we’re all so angry is that the burglar died in hospital, not at the house, so putting tributes up opposite the victim’s (The elderly man) house is more of a threat; ”We know where you live”, it’s also two fingers up at a very distressed couple who’ve had their lives turned inside out by this event. Let Vincent’s family mourn him by all means, but not in such an obvious and inciteful way.
Lets face it. All Police officers will be pissed off that they have to waste their time having to “tow the line” with treating the “offenders” families with kid gloves. Even up to the Chief Constables ranks the Police cannot be seen to have anything but an impartial view. Yet they all secretly feel more for the victim of the burglary than they do about the deceased. The Police see the “travelling fraternity” day in and day out and are powerless to touch them, due to the silly rules that this stupid society protects the evil scumbags. Why should these despicable travellers get away with doing what they do !!!
Fuck him another Scum off this earth
