DEVON And Cornwall Police (Puppy Development Program) has shared some great footage of a police dog puppy, PD ‘Dino’, in training.
In the short video, PD Dino can be seen to eagerly lead his trainer on a track across an enclosed area, with his nose locked firmly to the ground.
With this tail wagging away, hardly anything distracts his attempt at trying to find whatever it is that his trainer has hidden from him (probably a ball).
At one point, PD Dino momentarily looks up as a nervous pigeon takes flight a short distance away from him, but he quickly regains his concentration and continues with his track.
The tweet posted by @DC_PoliceDogs said:
‘Dino is really progressing well on his tracking training.
‘He was a little distracted by a pigeon taking off at one stage but he is only 11 weeks old, and on this short grass I think he is doing brilliantly’.
Having watched the video (below) then I am sure you will agree that PD Dino certainly has a nose for the job! Good luck with your training, Dino!
