Tributes have been paid to a South Yorkshire Firefighter who passed away suddenly on Saturday afternoon having just completed two-day shifts before he was due to start his set of nights.
FF Calvin Dodd was based at Doncaster Fire Station and had been with South Yorkshire Fire & Rescue service for several years.
Martin Reading, a friend of Calvin, paid tribute to him when he said:
“He was a fantastic firefighter and family man.
“Leaving us all far too soon but with many great memories as the popular man, we will all remember him for.
“We will all miss you forever, Cal”.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help Calvin’s family with the funeral costs. So far, £3,109 has been raised.
