Often, our much-loved and highly-valued followers send us in stories and images from across the internet which feature our oppos in the emergency services.
And this story, is one such example!
During a routine check of our inbox, the following message was found by one of our admins:
“As someone who flies drones with emergency services, can we please establish a cake fund for the fire officers who have to deal with the imbecile (that’s an English translation from the northern irish phrase “f__king t__ts”) public drone pilots?
“Perhaps if i climb onto my roof i can call 999 and get a hand cleaning the gutters when they come to rescue me?”
With the message, was the picture that now adorns the top of this article. The picture itself was shared by a ‘Facebooker’ with the following message:
“A little bit of action across the road from our house today.
“There was a wedding in the church, somebody from the wedding party was filming it using a drone.
“Apparently, his drone operating was not up to scratch and he flew it into a tree. No worries, the smart young chap climbed up to get it and make a name for himself with the ladies…
“A little time later, there were two things stuck in the tree and the fire department was summoned.
“Never a dull moment in Stony Stafford”
As our follower pointed out, perhaps individuals who are responsible for such ‘mishaps’ should be ‘gently encouraged’ to pay into a colossal cake fund that can then be shared out equally amongst all sections of the emergency services / NHS?
If not a cake fund, then maybe a Christmas party fund instead that can then be used to host one massive party for the members of the emergency services who get sent to calls which have come about as a result of other peoples silliness.
It is at this point that we should mention that we have a subscriber only eMagazine called ‘Shits & Giggles‘ where the original communications from this exchange of messages will be shared.
The next issue comes out on the 9th November and you can subscribe to this £1-per-month morale injection right here:
