Durham Constabulary has released some body-worn video camera footage of the moment when Roads Policing Unit officers deployed a stinger on a speeding BMW.
The footage shows just how vital stingers are in the fight against crime.
Three out of the four tyres were stung, and the vehicle came to a stop two miles down the road.
Two individuals were arrested at the scene.
