Police have asked for help to identify the driver on an Audi who filmed himself driving at 200 mph.

In a video that has been uploaded to social media by @CrimeLdn, a male can be heard laughing as he barrels through roundabouts at over 80 mph.

He also filmed himself as he narrowly avoided being hit by a lorry which had the right of way as the two vehicles approached a large roundabout.

Supt Andy Cox, the Metropolitan Police’s Lead for Road Safety, tweeted to say:

“Unfortunately more horrific driving. I have tasked investigative work to see if we can identify the car involved and location.

“Needless to say if in London, we will do all we can to seek the most robust action possible.

“If outside London, we will support the relevant forces”.

While you are here…

We pride ourselves on reporting on what is happening on the front line of the emergency services, armed forces and NHS. Our in-house team of reporters are all former emergency services, armed forces or NHS staff.

But during these challenging times, we need the help of our readers and supporters to bring you the national stories which matter; stories which many sections of the mainstream media simply are just not interested in.

We aim to challenge the negative spin, created by some sections of the mainstream media who seem to love nothing more than to undermine the work of our emergency services.

But we cannot do this, without your help.

Before you go...

We need your help. As former emergency services & armed forces personnel, we pride ourselves on bringing you important, fast-moving and breaking news stories which are free from the negative bias which is often directed at the emergency services by some sections of the mainstream media.

One of the reasons we started 'Emergency Services News' was because we became tired of reading badly informed stories about the emergency services which seemed only ever to highlight negative aspects of the job.

We want to be the unheard voice of the remarkable men and women who serve in the emergency services, NHS and armed forces. And with around 500k page views each month, we are getting there!

As income from ads, the mainstay source of income for most publishers, continues to decline; we need the help of our readers.

And remember, if you have a service, product or job vacancy that you would like to promote to our large readership, then you can buy advertising space in our articles.

You can support emergency services news from as little as £1. It only takes a minute. Every contribution, however big or small, is vital for our future.

Please help us to continue to highlight the life-saving work of the emergency services, NHS and armed forces by becoming a supporter.
