Wiltshire Police have released some dashcam footage of the moment when the driver of a Mercedes C300 drove at nearly three times the posted speed limit in a bid to get away from the police.
The incident happened on Friday 22nd May after PC Christopher White saw the white Mercedes driving at speed in residential areas.
PC White signalled for the vehicle to stop after catching up with the car.
The driver, 22-year-old Ruban Martins, initially did stop, but as soon as the police officer got out of his vehicle, Martins made off from him.
Martins was stopped a short time later and was put before Swindon Crown Court on Friday 12th Feb.
