South Yorkshire Police have released some dramatic dashcam footage of a pursuit with a Ford Transit van that happened in April 2020.
In the footage (below), the van’s driver tried to outrun the police BMWs which were pursuing him.
After being forced to used tactical contact to bring the pursuit to an end, the driver of the van, Tony Ellison, 39, of Lothian Road, climbed through the passenger-side window of his vehicle and ran on foot.
But it was not long before officers quickly caught up with Ellison.
