Sky News is reporting that the UK Government will be acting shortly to stop many of the rumours which are currently circulating regarding a potential ‘lockdown’.
Sky News has reported that there are currently no plans to shut down the transport network in central London.
While some London Underground stations have been shut, a government spokesperson has confirmed that there are no plans for a mass closure of the transport networks in the capital.
An official Government spokesperson has also said that there is ‘zero chance’ of travel restrictions being placed on people coming in and out of London.
The spokesperson also added that it is ‘not true’ that restrictions will be placed on people entering and leaving their houses.
The spokesperson also said that the government is not ruling out putting restrictions on bars and club as many venues in the capital have stayed open despite the government advising them to shut to slow down the spread of COVID-19.
