Truck Full Of Stolen Chocolate Abandoned On the Wrong Side Of Motorway

Greater Manchester Police (Traffic) has revealed details of an incident whereby thieves abandoned a stolen lorry after they drove the wrong way on the M62 J19.

The lorry contained tonnes of chocolate and was left straddling lane #1 and the hard shoulder before the driver ran off, leaving the truck in the precarious position.

In a post shared on the @GMPTraffic Twitter page, officers said:

‘Early hours this morning a cloned tractor unit, towing a stolen trailer full of stolen chocolate was seen to travel contra on the M62 j19 near Thornham.

‘The vehicle was abandoned on the carriageway and recovered by patrols +

We need your help. As former emergency services & armed forces personnel, we pride ourselves on bringing you important, fast-moving and breaking news stories which are free from the negative bias which is often directed at the emergency services by some sections of the mainstream media.

One of the reasons we started 'Emergency Services News' was because we became tired of reading badly informed stories about the emergency services which seemed only ever to highlight negative aspects of the job.

And remember, if you have a service, product or job vacancy that you would like to promote to our large readership, then you can buy advertising space in our articles.

You can support emergency services news from as little as £1. It only takes a minute. Every contribution, however big or small, is vital for our future.

It shouldn’t be too difficult for the police to track down a driver with an IQ of less than 8.
