Truck Full Of Stolen Chocolate Abandoned On the Wrong Side Of Motorway
Greater Manchester Police (Traffic) has revealed details of an incident whereby thieves abandoned a stolen lorry after they drove the wrong way on the M62 J19.
The lorry contained tonnes of chocolate and was left straddling lane #1 and the hard shoulder before the driver ran off, leaving the truck in the precarious position.
In a post shared on the @GMPTraffic Twitter page, officers said:
‘Early hours this morning a cloned tractor unit, towing a stolen trailer full of stolen chocolate was seen to travel contra on the M62 j19 near Thornham.
‘The vehicle was abandoned on the carriageway and recovered by patrols +

‘enqs are ongoing to identify offenders’
