Derbyshire Police has asked the public not to share the vehicle details of a car believed to be involved in an incident where a kitten was thrown from the window of a moving vehicle.
The details of the car believed to have been involved have been shared on social media, with people calling for retribution should the suspected vehicle be located.
However, a post shared on the Derbyshire Police twitter page, a spokesperson for the force said:
‘We’re aware of posts about an allegation that a kitten was thrown from a car on the A61 at Whittington Moor on Tuesday.
‘We’re asking people not to share unconfirmed registration plates or cars allegedly involved, but instead to contact us on 101 quoting incident 561 of 28 August’.
