Police Appeal For Help In Finding Male With Stolen Police Lights

Officers have today released CCTV images of a man who they wish to speak to after police lights were stolen from a car whilst it was parked at Sunderland Railway Station.

Perhaps the male in blue has a bizarre and creepy fascination with the colour blue owing to the fact that he was wearing a blue jacket and blue trousers at the time of the incident?

Although, someone needs to speak to him about his colour matching skills, as the red trainers make him look like something straight out of an 80’s throwback film.

Just what he was hoping to do with the blue light bar remains a bit of a mystery.

Maybe instead of the police vehicle that blue light bar belongs to responding to the next ‘one under’, then this herbert will run to the call instead?

Or maybe he wanted to place the light bar on his huge cranium and take the next 999 call that comes where suspects with knives need to be apprehended?

Either way, this buffoon needs to be identified so that the British Transport Police can have a little chat with him.

The incident happened at 4.29am on Wednesday 26 December 2018.

Officers believe the man shown in these CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.

Anyone who recognises the man, or who has more information about the incident, is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 266 of 27/12/18.

Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111

Before you go...

We need your help. As former emergency services & armed forces personnel, we pride ourselves on bringing you important, fast-moving and breaking news stories which are free from the negative bias which is often directed at the emergency services by some sections of the mainstream media.

One of the reasons we started 'Emergency Services News' was because we became tired of reading badly informed stories about the emergency services which seemed only ever to highlight negative aspects of the job.

We want to be the unheard voice of the remarkable men and women who serve in the emergency services, NHS and armed forces. And with around 500k page views each month, we are getting there!

As income from ads, the mainstay source of income for most publishers, continues to decline; we need the help of our readers.

And remember, if you have a service, product or job vacancy that you would like to promote to our large readership, then you can buy advertising space in our articles.

You can support emergency services news from as little as £1. It only takes a minute. Every contribution, however big or small, is vital for our future.

Please help us to continue to highlight the life-saving work of the emergency services, NHS and armed forces by becoming a supporter.
