Firefighters from St Austell Community Fire Station (Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service) have helped to honour the memory of their much-loved colleague by making replicas of his Firefighting uniform which was then presented to his two twin boys.
Jason Bragg, aged only 28, passed away earlier this year leaving behind a loving wife, Lizzie Bragg, his twin boys, Oscar & George and his daughter Elizah.
Tributes flooded social media at the time; a true testament to the great person that Jason was.
On March 21st, Jason’s colleagues made the following tribute to their heroic friend and colleague:
‘We are heartbroken. As many within our community already know… on Monday 11th of March our friend and fellow firefighter, Jason Bragg (Braggy) left this world surrounded by his loving family aged only 28.
‘Inspirational, heroic; these words can’t come close to describing Braggy and how he carried himself with the insurmountable odds he faced. His dedication to family, friends, and serving his community as a firefighter, even while undergoing exhaustive treatment, only demonstrated Jason’s incredible character and determination. His personality, humour and outlook on life touched all who knew him.
‘With the strength and support from wonderful family and friends, Braggy lived life to the full. A devoted husband and father, he embraced every opportunity to make precious memories with those closest and dearest to him fulfilling many of his wishes. A true firefighter, Jason would always graft to get the job done on incidents and took huge pride in helping others, endearing him to all of us here at the station.
‘Our hearts go out to Jason’s amazing family. His parents Jean & Dave and his brother James, to his wife Lizzie, daughter Elizah and twin boys George & Oscar, who will grow up knowing only how incredible and brave their daddy was and how sorely he will be missed by all. His memory will live on. Rest in peace and go steady brother xxx

As a fitting tribute to their colleague and to help honour his memory, Firefighters from St Austell Community Fire Station presented young Oscar & George with a replica of their Dad’s firefighter gear.
In a post shared on Facebook, Jason’s wife, Lizzie said:
‘On Monday evening one of St.Austell’s fire crew Matt came to our home to give the boys a present.
‘Two fire kits that are exact replicas of their Daddy’s fire kit, they even have Jason’s service number on them.
‘I have been overwhelmed with pure emotion at the kindness. I could never say thank you enough.
‘There also needs to be a huge mention to Bristol uniforms who had to actually make a machine just to make these one of a kind fire kits. It took them nearly two months.
‘Thank you everyone involved from the bottom of my heart.
‘This is something that will be treasured & kept forever’.
