Details have emerge of the moment firefighters were attacked by a group of youths after attending a fire that had been deliberately started.
At 21:14 hours yesterday (8th) evening, Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service received a 999 call about a fire in Lanark Gardens, Widnes.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said:
‘Firefighters were called to Lanark Gardens, Widnes, after a report of a fire.
‘Whilst firefighters were fighting the fire, which had been started deliberately, they were attacked by a group of young people firing fireworks at them.
‘None of the crew
‘Police attended the incident. If you have any information about the incident then please call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number IML 369055.’
