An emergency ambulance crew have been injured following a road traffic collision in Bristol over the weekend.
The South West Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust vehicle was responding to a call when it was involved in the incident.
A picture of the emergency ambulance on its side shortly after the incident has emerged on social media.
A spokesperson for the Trust told Emergency Services News:
“South Western Ambulance Service was called on Sunday 15 December at 10.35 am about an incident at Portway, Bristol involving an ambulance en route to a separate incident.
“We attended the scene of the incident and assessed the crew who were injured. We sent another resource to attend the original incident.
“We are investigating the incident to confirm what happened.”
