How the dildo managed to get where it was glued remains a mystery…As does the welfare of the dildo.

Friday 27th July | by Cop(ex) | @ES_Humour

On 25th July, reports on social media (Twitter) suggested that ‘persons unknown’ had decided to strap a dildo (size unknown) onto the HQ building of the Royal Hussar Regiment.

The King’s Royal Hussars is a cavalry regiment of the British Army. It is part of the Royal Armoured Corps.

The regiment itself was formed in 1992 and is based at Tidworth. It serves as the armoured regiment of the 12th Armoured Infantry Brigade

A video of the unfortunate ‘incident’ involving the sticky dildo appeared on Twitter and was shared by ‘@FelicityMorse’.

The video has so far been viewed over 200,000 times.

In a Tweet that contained the video footage, @FelicityMorse said:

“Someone has glued a dildo to the kings royal hussar regimental headquarters and the infrastructure company that manage it say its not a priority so it will be attended to in 40 days”.

Having proudly served in the military myself, I can confirm that pranks are rife and are 100% necessary for good levels of morale – the same applies to the emergency services as well.

However, I will admit, that during my time in the armed forces, never did I see/hear about anyone gluing a dildo to any sort of building (or vehicle/vessel/aircraft for that matter).

Shortly after her initial tweet, @FelicityMore confirmed via another tweet to her 37,000 followers that:

“Someone finally came to remove the dildo from the regiment HQ and I’ve been sent a video with the titanic theme dubbed over the top and I am finding this far too funny ‘don’t forget the base!’

No doubt the Military Police will be trying to hunt down the person(s) responsible for phantom dildo menace but I, for one, would not volunteer to handle the dildo in any way without full NBCD protection suits.

The sentiment on social media was broadly light-hearted with many people seeing the ‘funny’ side to the prank:

In the videos which have been shared on @FelicityMorse’s twitter account, you can see what appears to be a civilian wearing a high-vis jacket in a cherry picker trying to ‘dis-mount’ the average-sized dildo from the roof of the building.

If anyone is willing to give the dildo a new home, then please get in contact with us via our website.

It is not known whether or not the dildo ended up where it did as a result of a domestic argument between the dildo and its owner.

Investigations are continuing and we will, of course, keep you fully updated on whether or not any ‘hard’ evidence ‘comes’ to light………

We need your help. As former emergency services & armed forces personnel, we pride ourselves on bringing you important, fast-moving and breaking news stories which are free from the negative bias which is often directed at the emergency services by some sections of the mainstream media.

One of the reasons we started 'Emergency Services News' was because we became tired of reading badly informed stories about the emergency services which seemed only ever to highlight negative aspects of the job.

We want to be the unheard voice of the remarkable men and women who serve in the emergency services, NHS and armed forces. And with around 500k page views each month, we are getting there!
