When Police in Ohio (US) were called to reports of a dead body being found by members of the public in a nature reserve, then they expected the worst.

However, the investigation was swiftly brought to a conclusion when it turned out that the ‘body’ that had been spotted was, in fact, a discarded sex doll.

According to the Dayton Daily News, Hamilton County engineers were in Richardson Forest Preserve when they spotted, from a distance, what they thought was a motionless naked body wrapped up in bin-liners.

According to local WCPO Channel 9, the sex doll had been left abandoned and ‘alone’ on a hillside with investigators initially having trouble getting to the remote site.

The police officers who attended the scene also initially thought that the discarded sex doll was indeed a dead body and ended up calling the county coroner to the scene.

It wasn’t until coroner investigators reached the doll that they realised it wasn’t human, reports say.

The fact that Officers did not approach the ‘body’ is surprising as, in this country (UK), if the police are called to a suspected dead being then they physically have to check the body before letting their control room/supervisors know about the situation.

The unknown owner of the sex doll has not come forward (unsurprisingly) and it is not known why the doll had been dumped where it was.

Sex dolls are becoming increasingly more common as better technology and more ‘realistic’ looking dolls start coming onto the market. Dolls which sometimes have to be ‘submerged’ in the bath in order for them to be ‘warmed up’ before they are ‘used’.

Some of these dolls can cost upwards of $5000 and will actually have a ‘chat’ with you before you ‘get down to business’.

You can even pick the hair colour, skin tone eye colour and other ‘features’ of the doll before placing your order.

Females need not fear about missing out, as there are male ones available too, should apps like ‘Tinder’ prove to be unsuccessful.

As these sex dolls become more and more popular, then it is inevitable that owners are going to try and just dump their dolls once they have fulfilled their purpose.

We cannot imagine that there is going to be a huge market for 2nd hand sex dolls so don’t be surprised if more and more of these ‘bodies’ start cropping up around the countryside.

We are just wondering how long it is going to be before the hashtag #SexDollsLivesMatter starts being used on social media.
