A man has been charged after a Met police officer was stabbed in Ashmore Road, W9, on Tuesday 28th July.
Mohim Hussain, 40, of Ashmore Road, W9, was charged on Wednesday 29th July with Section 18 wounding with intent and for having a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.
Hussain is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 20th July).
The Met has released no further details relating to the incident.
The injured officer has since been discharged from hospital so that he can continue his recovery at home.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Federation said:
‘Sad to report a serious injury to a colleague last night. Stabbed in west London.
‘We wish him well and he is being fully supported. Thankfully injuries are not as bad as they could have been.
‘Yet again shows the dangers Metropolitan Police officers face each and every day’.
