Woman Calls The Police As A Couple Have Sex In A Park – But On-lookers Take Matters Into Their Own Hands
Frustrated on-lookers intervened in order to break up the very public display of affection

The (recent) hot weather can have a funny affect on people.
Ask anyone who has served in the emergency services and they will confirm the correlation between ‘odd’ behaviour and the heat.
Earlier on today, we were sent a link to a video that had been shared by someone who was recording a couple having sex in the middle of a field as she called 999.
The ‘liaison’ happened in the middle of a cricket pitch in Roundhay Park in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
During the call to the Police, the female informant explains to the police that this is the second time that she has called and that she is worried as ‘there are children in the park’.
The 999 Call Handler explains to the female that as soon as a unit becomes available, then one will be sent to the location.
The Police often receive calls from members of the public when they have spotted a couple having sex, but this tends to be when a couple have been found ‘doing the deed’ in, for example, a car.
Rarely will a couple blatantly have sex during the day, in an open field in front of members of the public, including young children.
The lady who called the police can be heard to say that: ‘they are at it again’ suggesting that perhaps the couple had had a short ‘break’ before ‘resuming’ their session.
However, as the lady on the phone speaks to the Police Operator, a male can be seen in the footage approaching the couple and then repeatedly slapping the male around the head, whilst he is still apparently ‘doing the deed’.
The male on the ground, clearly shocked by the reaction from the member of the public, quickly stands to his feet in order to speak to the male.
During the altercation, the female continues to lay on the ground watching as a ‘moment of pleasure’ clearly descends into a moment of chaos.
Police arrived around 40 minutes after the first call on Sunday and by the time the Police got to the park at 13:55 the couple had gone.
West Yorkshire Police told press:
“Officers saw the suspects’ vehicle and pulled it over.
“A woman was arrested and has been reported for summons for driving while over the limit and is due in court on August 24.
“Inquiries remain ongoing into the incident at Roundhay Park and witnesses continue to be contacted.”
If you happen to get caught having sex in public, then there are a variety of difference laws which you could be breaking:
- Outraging public decency contrary to common law
- Behaviour that is likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress to other users contrary to the Public Order Act 1986
- Offences of exposure – if the person exposes themselves to someone intending that someone will see them and be caused alarm or distress
- Sex in a public toilet (Section 71, Sexual Offences Act, 2003)
At the time of writing this article, the video that we have seen has been shared nearly 3,000 times and has been viewed nearly 300,000 times.
However, knowing social media as ‘intimately’ as we do (having been sent to the ‘naughty step’ on a number of occasions), then it will only be a matter of time before the video is taken down, as social media platforms do not like any type of material of a sexual nature being shared on their sites.
We have, however, managed to get a copy of the footage and will share it in the next issue of our fortnightly eMagazine, ‘S__ts & Giggles’ which does not have to conform to any social media based ‘community standards’.
