Paramedic manages to keep control of his vehicle despite having a laser pen shone into his eyes

An ‘oxygen thief’ has shone a laser pen into the eyes of a Paramedic as he drove his emergency ambulance with a patient on board.

In this shocking display of f__kwittery, the ‘loser’ specifically targeted the Ambulance crew for reasons which defy common sense.

The incident occurred in Stockport and could have potentially caused a major collision had the Paramedic not of had his wits about him whilst driving the emergency ambulance.

The incident happened against the backdrop of new tougher laws which are being introduced for f__kwits who decide to use s__tty laser pens to try and startle unsuspecting motorists and even pilots.

The Laser Misuse (Vehicles) Act carries tougher sentences for convicted offenders with a maximum prison sentence of 5 years, and unlimited fine, or both…

At the time, the Paramedic was driving along the A6 in Stockport City Centre which is opposite the Merseyway Shopping Centre.

At the time of the incident, the Paramedic alerted his colleagues in the Emergency Operations Centre who then informed the Police of what had happened.

A Police vehicel was sent to the area in order to try and locate the idiot, but the ‘worm’ who shone the laser pen into the paramedics eyes had disappeared back into the crevice from which he/she emerged in order to carry out the random act of foolishness.

Thankfully, CCTV operators DID capture some images of the suspect, so there is a good chance that he/she will be caught.

Most of the idiots who carry out these sort of ‘attacks’ are known to the Police, so lets hope that a local Police Officer (if there are any left) recognises the numpty and pays him/her a visit during the early hours of the morning with a ‘big red key’.

Ambulance bosses also spoke out and condemned the act.

Under the new law, it will be a crime to shine or direct a laser beam that dazzles, distracts or is likely to dazzle or distract, air traffic controllers, pilots, captains of boats or drivers of road vehicles.

The Government has stated that prosecutions under the new law would be made easier by removing the need to prove there was an intention to endanger a vehicle.

Speaking of the incident incident involving one of their medics, a spokesperson for North West Ambulance Service told reporters from the Manchester Evening News:

“We are shocked and appalled that members of the public can treat their emergency services in such a dangerous way. Not only could this have caused a huge road accident, it could have also lost precious minutes for a patient in dire need.

“We urge people to be respectful and please remember that we are here to help.”

GMP Stockport said in tweet that searches were carried out around the A6 and its junction with Heaton Lane with a ‘negative result’.

The police division added: “Council CCTV saw the pointer last night as well, they will let us know if they see the person responsible.”
