Do you recognise this woman?
The British Transport Police would like to speak to her in connection with an incident in which a pregnant woman was punched and spat at.
At around 7.30pm on Thursday 18 April, a 19-year-old woman was on board a stationary train at Clacton-on-Sea station.
She was approached by another woman who became aggressive towards her, punching her in the face and spitting at her.
The victim did not know the offender. She was left with bruising to the cheek.
Investigating officer PC James Carter said:
“This was a nasty assault on a young pregnant woman by an older woman, which left her bruised and shaken by what had happened.
“The incident would have been witnessed by many of the people on the train at the time.
“Violence like this will absolutely not be tolerated, and so we want to speak to the woman in this photo, as we believe she may have information which could help our investigation.”
Do you know who she is, or did you see the incident?
Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40 or texting 61016 with reference 624 of 18 April.
